Thesis Title

Ticket Prices for Children's Theatre in Singapore: Price Differentiation and Multi-Tiered Systems

Thesis Abstract

Multi-Tiered ticketing systems have been increasingly popular in many fields of the performing arts sector. However, it is not present in many or all of the local children's theatre scene. This dissertation aims to look at the different types of multi-tier ticketing pricing system that have been in operation and it also explores reasons why multi-tier ticketing pricing is not prominent in Singapore’s children's theatre scene, and whether or not such a system will benefit children’s theatre in the long run. It also takes a look at other pricing systems such as bundle pricing and other price discrimination strategies and discusses the possibility of these strategies in further contributing to meeting the objectives of children's theatre.
