Part-Time Coordinator and Administrator, Kavanagh Dance
2008 - Starting out as a student volunteer, Scarlet was assisting teachers in Dance School productions and classes and was offered a part-time position a year later as an Administrator. During the time she was working under Kavanagh Dance, she has experienced managing three varied dance centers’ portfolios - CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel, CHIJ Our Lady of Nativity and Toa Payoh South Community Centre. Scarlet also teaches Classical Ballet and Modern Jazz classes and is working towards obtaining her Teaching Certificate with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers and Dancing.
Intern, Art-In-Transit, Land Transport Authority
2014 - From May 2014 to July 2014, Scarlet was assisting in four projects – Thomson Line Outram Park, Marina South Pier and Woodlands South, and North-South Line Marina bay. The role was to coordinate with Artists, Curators, and the engagement of various communities. Other duties includedWrite-Ups for the Artworks Plaque for the Downtown Line Artworks, taking minutes for the Art Review Panel Meetings, designing the Brunel Competition Boards and managing the inventory. Scarlet was offered by her supervisor to extend her internship for a month before the commencement of the new school semester.
Fine Arts Production Team & GOH/VIP Tour Guide OFFBEAT @ Winstedt, Opening of Winstedt Campus,LASALLE, Singapore
2014 - Scarlet was part of the Fine Arts Production Team, conceptualising an exhibition with the curator Ms. Melanie Pocock, hosting an open call for students of LASALLE to take part in submitting their artworks, managing artists and thereafter presenting an exhibition within an indoor space as well within the compounds of the school campus. Scarlet was coordinating and assisting the Production Team on aspects of the exhibitions.
In her role, Scarlet was also invited to be part of the GOH/VIP Tour for Mr. Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information.

2013 - Gallery Assistant for YOD Gallery at F1 Pitt Building during Affordable Art Fair in 2013, assisting in the sales of artworks, while representing several Japanese Artists such as Ryuzo Satake and Takuro Sugiyama.

2013 - Scarlet was present in setting up merchandise booth as well as the Front of House Ticketing Booth. She was also part of the Front of House and Usher for VIPs and the public.
Community-based Dance Programme by Kavanagh Dance: A Comparative Study of a Private School between Toa Payoh South Community Centre and Loewen Gardens, Singapore.
This thesis is a case study on Kavanagh Dance, a local dance school in Singapore that offers dance programmes for preschoolers onwards. The study aims to assess the impact of dance programmes conducted by the school in both Toa Payoh South Community Center and Loewen Gardens. It will consider the diverse political, social, economical and technological demographic of participants and their families in both locations and ways these factors might impact the programmes. This research plans to examine and document parents’ and students’ expectations of the dance programme and teaching pedagogy of the educators in both locales.
Since the benefits of dance have is abundant in the development of children, this research serves as a reference for people who are interested dance education in Singapore, giving readers a glimpse of the dance programmes offered. In addition, an attempt to document and determine factors contributing to the dance programme conducted by Kavanagh Dance, analyzing the aspects of the dance programmes offered at both centres and how different they are.
