What started out as a dream for two music lovers eventually turned into a full time commitment.
Upsurge Productions is a 4 year old boutique events organization company specialising in alternative and pop rock concerts. Having already produced 19 successful shows, with bands such as; Incubus, We The Kings, Anberlin, A Day To Remember, Mayday Parade, Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, etc, we continue to take pride in providing thoughtful service to fans, bands and sponsors. Every show is done with utmost attention to detail and a creative hands-on approach to craft a memorable and unforgettable experience for every fan. We firmly believe in producing top quality shows by creating long-lasting relationships with vendors and also the band. We've always believed in working with bands long-term and not just for a show, growing their presence and ensuring that they can come back for bigger shows next time round.
Finally, we believe that music unites people, and you'll have to attend our shows to witness the magic for yourself.

Funding Tools for the Music Industry: The Sustainability of Crowdfunding
Music crowdfunding is a fundraising campaign usually done through a crowdfunding website (e.g. Indiegogo, Kickstarter, etc) where the artist or band sets a monetary goal they aim to raise and has to reach it within a specific time frame. Aside from the opportunity to fund their music project, it is a direct-to-fan marketing channel where the artist owns 100% of the creative control and ownership over their music, whilst establishing a new wave of excitement and personal connection with their fans.
The concept of crowdfunding is not new, but with the advancement of technology, the idea took off in the digital age and created a sudden impact in the world of independent music via crowdfunding platforms. New issues have emerged with growth in the popularity of crowdfunding, one of which is the question of the sustainability of using such channels of fundraising for artists and bands.
